BBC Young Reporters Club

Would you like to have the opportunity to build a link with the BBC?

Do you find that the news you watch or read online isn't targeted at people your age?

Everyone in years 8 - 14 is invited to our BBC Young Reporters Club where you have an opportunity to tell stories that are relevant to you. You will have the opportunity to attend events which are run by the BBC, have access to resources as well as gaining mentoring by BBC representatives. You can build a portfolio of stories that are relevant to you or develop your literacy skills; all essential when applying for jobs or for university.

The initiative is backed by people such as Huw Edwards, Tina Daheley, Steph McGovern, The One Show's Alex Jones, BBC Newsbeat's Roisin Hastie and Ben Mundy and Newsround's Ricky Boleto.

“BBC Young Reporter is about tapping into what really matters to young people, and giving them an opportunity and a platform to tell their stories.”

-Tony Hall, BBC Director-General
