Overview

Learning for Life and Work is split into three modules:

  • Local & Global Citizenship

  • Personal Development

  • Employability

Aims

  • to helps students develop as individuals and members of society

  • to deliver the skills and capabilities needed for adult life and work

  • to help all pupils cope with the changing global economy

  • to help pupils learn how to make informed choices

Key Stage 3

Pupils follow the KS3 (CCEA Statutory Curriculum)

In Years 8, 9 and 10, pupils study elements of each of the three areas of Local & Global Citizenship, Personal Development and Employability.

Key Stage 4

In Year 11 and Year 12 pupils can take a GCSE in Learning for Life and Work (CCEA Specification).

All pupils who do not select LLW as a GCSE choice will follow the Key Stage 4 CCEA Statutory Curriculum.
