London 2012 Inspire>Aspire Values Poster Programme
Congratulations to Grosvenor pupils Stuart Nelson, Katie Taylor, Jessica McGuicken and Abby McMaster who were selected to attend the Inspire>Aspire Awards National Final at The Parliament Buildings, Stormont on Thursday 21st June.
The Value Posters Programme, run in Grosvenor by Head of Learning for Life and Work Mr Andrew Gibson, saw pupils from throughout second form submit their designs for Olympic Posters, with Stuart and Katie finishing joint top in the School with the achievement of Silver Certificates on the day, and Jessica and Abby each receiving Bronze Certificates.
Inspire>Aspire is a unique opportunity for young people to learn about Olympic and Paralympic values and discover what lies behind the Olympic movement. The activity offers the chance of a deeper, more personal connection with London 2012 and the chance to build enduring aspirations for the future.
Well done to all of Grosvenor’s award recipients at Stormont as well as Mr Gibson for his thorough organisation and planning of the entire event.
