Years 9 and 11 workshops

Many thanks to external facilitators Darren Nixon and Michael O’Halloran, each of whom delivered important workshops to our pupils over the course of Wednesday 25th June.

Mr O’Halloran, from the Careers Service, spoke to Year 11 during the morning as an introduction to Higher Level Apprenticeships. The talk was delivered as a collaboration between the Careers department and LLW (Employability), and helped the pupils to gain a better knowledge of the differences between a HLA and a traditional apprenticeship.

Meanwhile Darren, from 'eye4education', delivered a pair of fun and interactive sessions – firstly to Year 9, followed by Year 11, in the William Moles Hall. The sessions focused on developing skills such as communication, teamwork and logical thinking. Darren has been delivering content to our pupils for many years, and his sessions are always met with extremely positive feedback from all.

Thank you to both Darren and Michael for the excellent, beneficial nature of their content on the day.
