Overview

Girls rugby is one of the growing sports within Grosvenor. Year on year there have been increasing numbers participating. Girls are currently given the opportunity to participate in a training sessions run by Ulster Rugby Female development officers one afternoon a week. Pupils in junior school begin with learning the fundamentals of the game alongside Tag rugby, then in senior school progress to full contact rugby.

It is the aim within girls rugby that through participation in school rugby the girls will develop their individual skill level and also make informed decisions to join one of the local rugby clubs, where they can make further progress and play senior female rugby.
