AS Sociology Lecture

On Tuesday Grosvenor’s Year 13 A-Level Sociology class was visited by award winning author and Senior Lecturer of Sociology at Q.U.B., Dr Veronique Altglas. After giving a lecture on 'How to Define Religion' Dr Altglas hosted a Q&A session with the pupils, after which she remarked on how confident and enthusiastic the class were. Teacher Miss Philpot commented: “We are so grateful to Dr Altglas for taking the time to come and share her expertise with our pupils; her lecture was absolutely fascinating! I'm so proud of how well our pupils represented Grosvenor in both the warm welcome they provided and by asking such thoughtful questions with attentiveness and interest. It was a great afternoon!”

Sociology students in Years 13 and 14 will have the opportunity to learn more about studying Social Sciences at University when they attend the Q.U.B. Sociology Conference this November.
