Athletics - Tailteann Games '25
Congratulations to Grosvenor athletes Jude Glover and Noah Harper, each of whom performed impressively whilst representing Ulster at the interprovincial Tailteann Games, held in Carlow over the weekend
In the Boys High Jump Jude performed impressively to secure a well-deserved bronze medal with a clearance of 1.80 metres. In a highly competitive 1500 metres, meanwhile, Noah produced a valiant display, finishing strongly to place 7th in an exciting, eventful race. In both cases, the boys backed up their Ulster Schools’-winning performances from earlier in the season with a pair of high-quality performances.
Furthermore, the event saw former pupil Jenna Breen compete in an invitational 4x400 metres relay, where her final leg performance helped her team secure the qualifying time for this summer’s European Under 23 Championships by over 4 seconds. Selection-permitting, we now look forward to following Jenna’s fortunes at these Championships - in Bergen, Norway, in July.
Well done to Jude, Noah and Jenna on their impressive performances at such an elite level.
