Sailing success!

Well done to Daniel Long, Year 8, who has excelled in a number of sailing events of late.

Daniel’s recent successes include placing first at the Strangford Lough Youth Series, second at the ITCA IRL Winter Topper Championships, and third at the John Minnis NI Youth Championship Sailing Schools’ Cup, where he was representing GGS.

Daniel was also selected for the NI Sailing Team Topper Squad for 2025/26, and is due to represent either Northern Ireland or Ireland at events in France, England, Malahide and Wexford over the coming summer.

Having begun sailing in only 2023, Daniel’s progress has been rapid and impressive – we wish him all the best with his endeavours over the summer, and look forward to following his progress with interest.
